I have e-mailed our curator for Modern Glass to see if she knows of designers working on accessibility-driven projects. You might try contacting the Center for Universal Design at NC State University (http://www.ncsu.edu/project/design-projects/udi/contact/) for suggestions as well.
I don't know of any glass companies, aside from architectural glass companies who focus on accessibility, although there may well be. I didn't find any in searching. It sounded to me like you were not looking at architectural glass, but objects? Perhaps I am mis-reading your question though. Let me know if you are interested in architectural glass. For instance, this glass architectural firm worked with Michael Graves to design more accessible products from glass http://www.skydesign.com/. There are others, I am sure. I would be glad to send you some of those companies, if that is at all interesting to you.
