You are welcome to come to Corning and use the resources of the Rakow Research Library. We encourage you to call ahead to let us know when you plan to arrive/visit and your area of interest. While an appointment is not requirement for use of the library, it will help us to be better prepared to meet your research needs and to have preliminary materials ready upon your arrival. Please contact us at 607-974-8649 or firstname.lastname@example.org. The library has regular hours of 9-5, Monday through Friday.
I attached a couple bibliographies of books and videos relating to the history of the studio glass movement. When you decide which artists you you wish to focus on, we can provide additional bibliographies -- there is a wealth of information available!
You may wish to borrow items from our library found in our bibliographies or online catalog. If so, please contact your local library. The Rakow Research Library is a member of the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC); your library can contact us through OCLC or they may mail an Interlibrary Loan form to us. You may request up to five items at a time. We send photocopies of articles and microfiche copies of our books (if they have been microfilmed) through Interlibrary Loan for four weeks use. Our videos do not circulate, so they will be a priority when you visit the library.
