Thank you for contacting us. We do have a variety of items in our library referring to the Grisaille technique used in stained glass. In particular Stained Glass, by Pere Valldeperez, p. 90-97 contains a modern detail and illustration of this process. While it is a very basic description of the process it may meet your needs. We encourage you to visit us to review this information, as well as other related texts. If you are unable to visit us you may request the pages through Interlibrary Loan at your local library.

In addition, the Corning Museum of Glass, Seminar 1992, tape 4 lecture: The Vitreous Canvas: a look at the objects & techniques of contemporary glass painters by Cappy Thompson, lists the following artists as working with grisaille: Reyntiens; Stockhausen; Elskus; Hydman-Vallien; Eisch; Huth; Schaechter; Weiss; and Lieberman.

We are open to the public M-F 9-5
Let us know if we can be of further assistance.
