Thank you for your inquiry. I've found several publications in the Rakow Library which have helpful information about designs that were done for Steuben by famous artists, such as Matisse and O'Keeffe. I am attaching copies from those books. They did not mention any colored pieces. Steuben mostly stopped making colors in 1933. The pieces that were designed by the artists were done in 1940. It is possible that designs were made prior, but highly unlikely. If you would like to borrow copies of the books, you should go to your local library and request them through Inter-Library Loan. We or other libraries would be able to lend copies of the books to your local library. I have copied the cover pages in case you need the information. I apologize for the way I've rotated the pages in the Madigan scan, but the book was too large for our photocopier and I could not copy them another way. I hope you find this information helpful. Please let me know if you need any additional information or have trouble opening either of the attachments. Author: Madigan, Mary Jean Smith.
