I am sending, in a separate e-mail (due to size), a couple of pages from Hugh Tait's book, 5,000 years of glass. I copied the sections on Middle eastern and Islamic glass. We have a few articles on our website that touch on the areas of the world and time periods you are interested in, so I copied those links below. I am also attaching several lists of further reading, in case you need more info. I wasn't sure how scholarly the sources need to be, so I will let you know that our Ancient Glass curator, David Whitehouse, has published several catalogs of Islamic, Roman, and Sassanian glass. They are very detailed and heavily researched, but they may be overkill for a short research paper! Let me know what you are looking for research-wise, if what I have sent is not sufficient.
