It is impossible to determine other libraries' holdings about materials on glass. Our library's topics of interests are quite broad (glass history, glass techniques for artists, early technology of glass, and as well as some information on current glass manufacturing). Only one part of determining the size of a library is counting volumes (books and periodicals); part of our library's strength lies in its non-print materials, as well as ads, patents, glass company catalogs etc.) Other museums have good collections of information, either directly about glass, or related to glass, such as books on antiques, journals for the ceramic and glass industries, technical glass information, etc. If you have some specific questions, about which library might be closer to you, and offer information of interest, I might be able to answer with more details from you. Our library can also offer many of our materials (books, copies of periodical articles, and some old glass company catalogs on microfiche) through interlibrary loan, and bibliographies we have compiled can also point you in the right direction. Please contact me if you have some specific questions.
