Hello again. I checked with a glassworker and here are the comments/suggestions:

"Most likely the person is using a glass powder or other finely ground frit.  This when mixed with anything and fired – or more importantly fired even by itself, with look opaque or semi-opaque because of the thousands of bubbles trapped by the very fine particles.  You see this in Pate de Verre all the time.  Both the binders she is using are valid and the other thing she could try is Bullseye’s “Glastac” or “Glasgel” (a thicker and thinner version of the same product).  I would tell her to do an experiment and fire just some of the glass she’s using on its own, and compare that with the samples she’s made with the other 2 binders."

Hope this proves helpful.
