I think we found what you are remembering. According to several people at the Museum, you might be remembering a script from a film that was shown to visitors in the area now occupied by the hot glass show. Originally that area was a viewing gallery for the Steuben Factory. The film, Transformation, was shown on overhead monitors above the factory floor.
I watched the short video, which is in the library's collection, and several quotes from it make me think this is what you are looking for:
