The particulars of the gemmail technique are not fully known, including the type of glass and adhesives used. I am attaching a list of materials about gemmail that may help you.  It might be that we will do a more complete analysis of the gemmaux glass in our collection at some point, but I'm not sure when that would happen.  Please let me know if you have other questions!
