Hello! Thank you for your question. According to Steve Bender, Steuben business manager at the Corning Museum of Glass:

In 2003, Steuben Glass began using certain European Glass companies for the production of certain segments within the Steuben product line. All of these providers were given strict quality specifications for glass composition, manufacturing techniques, and finishing requirements. The Portuguese supplier used a leaded crystal similar to what was used by Steuben.
