I have a few suggestions for your search. First, I recommend contacting our Curatorial Department to find out more about your piece of glass. They can assist in the identification of objects, and may be able to provide you with some information. You can contact submit digital photographs, along with any descriptive information you may have on the piece, through the form on our curatorial website (  A note: as a non-profit, cultural institution, The Corning Museum of Glass is unable to provide appraisals.

We have several bibliographies which list materials in the Rakow Library collection that relate to Islamic art and glass. I have attached some of those bibliographies here. If you find something you are interested in, the Rakow Library does participate in InterLibrary Loan. Please place a request for the book or article at your local library; they can contact us through OCLC or they may send an Interlibrary Loan form to us by e-mail. We send copies of articles and will also loan certain books if a second copy is available in the library collection. Books are loaned for a four week period. For further information, please see our web page: I also encourage you to search our online catalog. If you find additional books or articles you are interested in, you can also request those through your local library.

You may be interested in looking at the page for our Islamic glass gallery, and you can find articles on our site which mention Islamic glass here.
