Q. Do I need to log into the Rakow Library catalog to view materials online?

Answer

Hello! Thank you for your question. You do not need to log in to access library resources.

If items from our collection have been digitized (including old magazines and brochures), they will be available via the new Library catalog (see the "Links" section of the item record to open a PDF file of the item). You can also view collections of digitized materials through Collection Discovery in the new catalog.

Due to copyright, many of our books and articles cannot be digitized and made available online. The good news is that the Library does lend designated books and send articles electronically in response to Interlibrary Loan requests from other libraries around the world. Contact your local library to request books and articles via Interlibrary Loan. You can read more about our Interlibrary Loan policies and procedures at http://www.cmog.org/research/library/visit/services/loan.

If there are specific items that you would like to view, we may be able to scan them for you, depending on the number of items/pages and their condition.

We are happy to help you locate and access materials as we are able, so do not hesitate to contact us again!

In December, the Rakow Library switched to a new search and discovery tool (Primo). This tool looks and functions differently than our previous catalog, plus we are still working on customizations to improve the experience of our users. Rest assured: We're here to answer your questions and also to find solutions for any problems you encounter. We will respond as quickly as we can!
